Used to use a Wacom Bamboo fun pen and touch but the usb wire got worn out and broke. It was a mighty fine warrior and I will forever remember its glory in battle! Equip with the Newgrounds Sticker, it was the tablet that Tom Fulp gave me for free during back when I was a growing artist (and was using the laptop trackpad to draw). I still haven't drawn a thank you art for Tom yet because I'm still not fully happy with my current art skill level (plus I still haven't fully decided what to draw as a thank you, gotta remember to get to that in the future). The bamboo now rest in its coffin (box), resting in peace for its well fought battles....

Now I got around getting some money and bought a Intuos5 Small. The improvements it has over the bamboo is alot of features and extras!

Pros:
- 6 buttons instead of 4 to customize and keybind.
- A Touch Ring with a button to with between 4 modes (all can be customize). The rings work by touching it and moving your finger clock-wise or counter clock-wise on it. The clock-wise and counter clock-wise motion can be keybind (works well with changing brush sizes, changing the hardness and softness of the brush in photoshop, to zoom, to scroll, and to rotate.
-Another new feature is the radial menu, set it on one of the buttons and when you use it it'll bring out a menu that you can customize or key bind. It can even have sub folders, so the use of this is pretty endless.
-In the Wacom Properties, there a setting where your wacom keybinds and setting can be different depending on what application you're on. I have a different setting when I browse and use photoshop.
-There is also a wireless mode, but you have to buy it separately, it cost about $40.
-You can adjust your pressure sensitivity with a graph or adjust it using the sliders.
-The usb cable wire can detachable! :D

Cons:
- Drawing space is slightly smaller then the Bamboo, though it doesn't bother me much. I tried to see if I can go over the boundary but it didn't go over, it is where that border label there is.
-The pen button where I previously customize my brush size with cannot be hold down to gradually increase or decrease the size, I have to press it repeatedly.
-The Art program bundle they offer was free trials that last about 3 months, while the Bamboo Art program bundle had full versions of the Art programs. Intuos5 offer photoshop element 11 (not sure that you can even draw in it, so far I've only find photo edits stuff), animestudio(didn't look at the standard version but the beginner version look dumb as hell), sketchbookexpress2011(couldn't even install this one because my laptop warns me that it will risk some sort of damage), corel painter 12 (takes forever to load up, longer then how I load up the previous corel painter, I don't really use corel painter so I have no comment), and a color effect thingy mcjigger (not sure anyone even use this, I sure didn't use the version that came with the bamboo). The Bamboo offer a full version of photoshop element 7(it has less features then my photoshop cs3 so I didn't bother t use it) and corel painter ( no comment, I'm not much of a corel painter artist).....plus that lame filter effect thingy mcjigger.
-The intuos5 comes with a pen holder that contains nibs (which is awesome) but in exchange the pen holder on the side of the tablet is gone. (I like that pen holder strap so I calling that a con)
-I have to pay extra for a wireless kit (I'm cheap, what you expect)

What I Key Bind:
-alt for color sampling
-shift for straight lines
-pan/scrolling because it's convenient when you suddenly scroll somewhere when drawing.
-flip the image horizontally ( had to keybind in photoshop's shortcut for this one plus it only flip the image that's in the layer or folder you highlighted) because about
all artist need to double check their work to see if the image looks right, flipping the image can help you realized that and now with a press of a button, you can keep up with making it appear right constantly.
-setting, if I came across something that makes me want to edit my tablet a bit, it's convenient to go straight tp properties this way. (though you can replace this with the radial menu)
-radial menu because it's ultra convenient when you're being extra lazy.
-I still have my pen button set with brush size changes because of habit, though I am practicing using my ring to adjust the brush size whenever i can.
-remove the press down right click feature because it's annoying, you can do this by going to control panel> hardware and sound>pen and touch, you can figure the rest out.
-a right click button (choosing between setting and radial menu, it's more convenient having radial menu).

Radial menu:
-leaving everything as default but removing display toggle and capture window
-replace them with 2 sub menu
-duplicate layer (v)
-merge layer (too lazy to right click a layer to merge it)
-play/pause music
-new image
-save image as
-open image
-copy
-paste
-copy merge (this copy the entire image as a whole without copying it on the layer)
-file info (to see how long I've been working on the image)
-still thinking what more to add

Looking back at progress I've made in my art skill, I wonder if I made any leaps or jumps.

January: Hubris Encounter and Mushroom Men

February: Dragon vs Kraken and Force the Fields (this one came out great but I know I need to improve on other subject matter)

March: Black Frogzoid and Ranger (was too overconfident with the recent Front Page and made something I wasn't too proud on)

April: Reflective Transfer MNCB, Easter Tankmen, Gaia, and CLABTRAP (won a art competition with this one)

May: The Big, the Bigger, and the Huge

June: Tea, EBF4 Anna, and Steam Airborne Meta

July: Watching (second FP artwork), KLT1M line art colored, and The Calm before the Storm

August: Necromancing and Red

September: Watching the Horizon, Don't give a Damn, and Keep em Madness Coming

October: Demonic Upbringing and Trick-ah-Treating with Ghosts 2

November: Bait

December: Cold Orphans and..... a girlfriend at Vietnam >3>

Hope to improve further in 2013! and Happy new year to all!

and I puke too :D

Many things happened while I was gone; a new big flat screen TV (not impressively, my mom gave away my Tankman figurine >:3, and a random house that is around my neighborhood is burned down.

Now I feel sleepy, the plane rides always suck.

I was staying at a farm in Ho Chi Minh and came to learn what is apparently normal in Vietnam.

1. Everybody rides motorcycles and bicycles.

2. If you seen videos or photos of Asian people carrying a shit ton of crap on their back, or balance those sort of things......well, you will see Vietnamese people doing that on motorcycles.

3. Animals roam about alot on this country side. You will see goats crossing streets, cows, (alot of) cats and dogs crossing the streets, and yes.....even the chicken cross the road (it usually turns back went a motorcycle is coming by).

4. Do not be surprise if you see little girls peeing in public....plus don't look at it.

5. If you have known breathing issue then try to wear a protective breathing mask, Vietnam sells those along with many biker helmets. Vietnam air tend to have tons of small campfires, by campfires I mean they burn crap that maybe garbage.

6. If you are at a small restaurant in Vietnam (somebody told me it's called breakfast but then again that person has terrible English), then a heads up is that they don't have health inspection so eat there at your own risk, there will be a ton of trash on the ground (apparently when you use up a napkin, have an empty can, or something along those lines, you throw them under the table you are eating. I think it makes sweeping them up easier.), and the napkins there may smell like hand sanitizer or cheap perfume.

7. The toilets can sometime be on the ground....so yeah, good luck squatting for number 2. Where I stayed at, I had to use a bucket of water to flush it.

8. Owned casual cars are kind of a rare sight (because nearly everybody drive motorcycles), though you will definitely see more cargo trucks, taxi, and buses around (I rarely see ambulance trucks though).

9. I have not seen a gun. I didn't see the police officers of Vietnam carry one around. Though they did carry around police batons. They also sit around on lawn chairs on certain corners of the city. They also ride motorcycles. (edit: turns out they do carry guns around, find that out the hard way >3>).

10. There are internet cafe where you can use a computer with internet I think.

11. There are boat fares (small wooden boats) that carry you and your motorcycles across the lake/ocean/river.

12. When you hear a siren from an ambulance/police car/fire truck, it's only naturally to slowly move to the side and not block their path. Well in Vietnam, cars and large vehicles like those are the siren but the motorcycles will still be driving at the sides while a car comes honking through the middle of the road.

13. Stoplights have a countdown timer that count downs to change the light color. Nobody usually gives a crap on those unless there are actual traffic.

14. The volts in outlets are different. Outlets also don't have 3 prongs, so have a little 3 prong to 2 prong plug with you when you go to Vietnam.

There could be many more things, but I'll leave it to that until I remember them.

I'm currently staying at an Uncle and Aunt's place in Vietnam. They have internet there and I'll be posting photos from my trip in Vietnam in my Facebook. I'll be staying there for 6 more days and then I'll be heading back South.

Be warned, I took a shit ton of pictures, and alot of them are pretty crappy.

Vietnam, a beautiful but yet sometime pitiful place. I've seen things that looks pretty sad but I've seen things that's pretty crazy and awesome.

I went from Georgia in America to Korea then to Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City is where I landed in my Flight. When I arrived there, there was a shit ton of people outside. I later find out that they were waiting outside for some sort of korean boy band that arriving in that airport apparently.

It was night when I arrived, I went in a car (I'm not good at naming cars so I go with calling it a van) I was kind of freaked by seeing so many motorcycles and the fact that the car I was in honk the living shit out of them. I was also even more freaked at how close we were at running motorcyclists over with the car. I look at the slums of Vietnam that night, many people was outside, I even saw a kid sleeping on grass under a palm tree that is in the middle of the road :/

I eventually got on a boat, that carry vehicles. While I was on the boat, that youtube song keep popping in my head "I'm on a boat, I'm on a boat, I'm on a motherfucking boat". Eventually we sail across and got back in the car. I was in the country side of Vietnam, the South. I eventually reach my destination, I was kind of nervous when that big car is on that tiny road that looks like that only enough room for 2 people.

When I reach my destination, I lived off my first week in the Southern Country Side of Vietnam in a rice field farmhouse.

I'll talk about my week there when I have time, post comments, I love to hear what you guys think so far.

Be back in a month. Not sure I'll have internet from where I'm going but I'll see I'll find any.

In other news, I got a digital camera(here a picture of my new laptop), a new laptop (have window 8), but my tablet broke (the usb cable got worn out) :<

Why I'm going to Vietnam? To visit family and to have fun.

I'm going to post a bunch of pictures when I get back but you won't be seeing any tablet drawn digital arts from me for a while till I buy a new tablet (probably with a detachable usb cable).

I'll probably be back by Christmas, so wish me luck! :)

Heading off to Vietnam

Been awhile since I update a News post, never usually have anything interesting to say anyway.

Since I'm not that much of a popular artist, I don't get commission (well except from that one time but that was from a friend's co-worker) . But when I ever do get commission, I wanna up my skills on illustrating the description given to me when I have the chance.

So I'm leaving this news post up here and see if anyone has requests for anything to be drawn. I'll get to it when I have the time available and pm the requester the progress of the image and see what he/she have to say that will satisfied him/her.

Note: I don't draw porn, I can however draw nudity for artistic purposes.

Image Below: One Example of a character drawn by somebody's request

EDIT: The Requests will have to be put in a hold, I've been given a task that need my full attention on. I WILL do these requests given to me so far up to this point but I probably won't finish them up to the point where this task is taken care of. Once I've taken care of the task and get back on these requests, I will do them first then make a new news post to see if I'm willing to do more requests. Til then, I won't be taking anymore requests!

Doing Drawing Requests (put in hold)

The things I order with my $70 dollar store credit arrived!

Even though I was surprise when the red baron poster and the penicorn look smaller then I imagine, I'm still happy with it :3

I also have a meatboy shirt, tankman figurine, and a bunch of stickers!

Got my PENICORN
